SUMMER ARTWORKS 2019

Fast Facts: 

Time Commitment: Monday – Friday from 9:30 – 3:30.

Summer Session: June 26 – August 1 (No ArtWorks on July 4 or 5).

Application Deadline: February 18 by 5 p.m.  All applications received after this time will be considered for the Fall and Spring sessions as specified on the application.

Interviews: All Applicants MUST interview in order to be considered for the program.

Early Decisions Interviews will be held February 19, 20, and 21 from 3-5pm at Center for Arts-Inspired Learning (10917 Magnolia Drive, Cleveland, OH 44106)

Waitlist Interviews will be held May 15 at the Center for Arts Inspired-Learning (10917 Magnolia Drive, Cleveland, OH 44106) from  3-5pm.

Mandatory Orientation: All Apprentices must attend an orientation and registration for ArtWorks.  Orientation will take place at Tri-C Metropolitan Campus on May 7, May 29, OR June 5 from 5-7pm.

ArtWorks Live! Public Showcase: July 31st 6-8pm at Tri-C Metropolitan Campus.

Apprentice Positions: Spaces for this opportunity are limited. Only 100 apprentice positions are available, so students who are interested in applying are strongly encouraged to make sure all parts of their application are complete and received on time.

Student Apprentice Applications

Anyone entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in the Fall of 2018 may apply to be an ArtWorks Summer Apprentice. No prior arts experience is necessary, but applicants should have a strong interest in the arts and a willingness to learn new skills in a multicultural setting. Students must submit an application and be interviewed to be considered for the program.

Applications for the Summer 2019 session will be available soon.  The application deadline is February 18 at 5pm.  All applications received after that date will be considered for the Fall and Spring sessions as specified on the application.

Site Coordinator Applications

Any college junior or senior, or recent graduates may apply to be an ArtWorks Summer site coordinator. The site coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of an ArtWorks Summer site. This position requires strong professional communication and event management skills. Applicants must submit a cover letter and resume to be considered for the position.

An interview and professional references are required for finalists.  A background check must be completed and approved prior to employment.
