Covid-19 Programming Update

In the interest of the health and well being of our students, artists, and staff, CAL is adhering to the recommendations of Governor DeWine regarding our community programs.

Afterschool Programs that are suspended until further notice.

We will continue to provide email updates if additional changes to our program schedule are required.

CAL Creators Spring Break Camp has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

At the Inspiration Center in University Circle and Studio 105 at the Glenville Arts Campus, we provide arts infused community programs directly to children in our community! All supplies and equipment are included.

Studio 105 @ Home!

Our first partner school is Wade Park. Teaching Artist Kalim Hill will do weekly live theater/spoken word workshops with Grades 3-6.

AfterSchool Art Club at Studio 105

Afterschool program for students in Grades K-5 from Glenville or Hough
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3-5pm at Studio 105 at the Glenville Arts Campus.

Program Details

(Culminating showcase event will be held from 5-7pm on May 15)

Cost: Free!  Afternoon snack and homework help provided.

Level Up

Afterschool program for students in Grades 6-8
Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-6pm at the Inspiration Center

Program Details

Spring session: TBD. 

Level Up with Noah Bowers is an immersive experience that uses interactive media, game design principles, and active play to help students not only explore their creativity and increase academic achievement, but also show students that they can be a part of the world of video game creation.

Super Girls CLE

Workshop series on sequential arts (comics) for girls grades 5-8. Thursdays from 3-5pm at Studio 105 at the Glenville Arts Campus

Program Details

Super Girls CLE engages middle school girls through story-boarding, writing, drawing, and digital designing for comics.

Spring Session:

  • Date TBD
  • Includes 10 classes plus 2 special field trips
  • Families are invited to attend a showcase of the Super Girls’ comics at the end of the session!

Cost: FREE for girls who live in Glenville, Hough, or St Clair - Superior

CAL Creators

Holiday series for students in Grades K-8

Program Details

Daylong arts programming offered on select holiday breaks to engage students through themed projects in visual, performing and digital arts.

2019-20 Schedule

  • Election Day: November 5, 2019 from 9:30am-3:30pm
  • MLK Jr. Day: January 20, 2020 from 9:30am-3:30pm
  • Presidents' Day: February 17, 2020 from 9:30am-3:30pm
  • Spring Break: March 23-27, 2020 CANCELLED

Cost: $40 for full day; $25 for half day
