CLEan Express Auto Wash offered a give and get donation campaign to benefit CAL
During the month of September, the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning was the featured non-profit at the new CLEan Express Auto Wash in South Euclid, Ohio. To celebrate the opening of its second CLEan Express location in Greater Cleveland, the organization offered 10 days of free car washes to members of the community. Instead of receiving payments for its signature CLEANest wash (valued at $18), donations were accepted on behalf of CAL.
The Grand Opening celebration began on September 10 with a ribbon cutting, which was attended by CAL President and CEO Marsha Dobrzynski, CLEan Express Co-Founders John Roush, Dan Eisenhauer and Jeff Gilger, CLEan Express Site Manager Boz Henderson, Mayor Georgine Welo from the City of South Euclid, and guests. Following the kickoff event, the free wash week got underway. It was originally scheduled to run from September 11-20; however, due to such a positive response from the community, the CLEan Express team extended the donation period through the end of the month!
Our organization was suggested to CLEan Express leadership by Drew Odum, former member of CAL’s Board of Directors, who was also serving on the South Euclid Board of Zoning Appeals at the time new car wash facility was being built. Dobrzynski was contacted by CLEan Express to learn more about our work and CAL was ultimately selected as the beneficiary of the donation campaign.
“On behalf of our Board of Directors and staff, I offer our gratitude to the entire Express Wash Concepts organization for this incredibly generous initiative!” said Dobrzynski. “We are honored to have been selected as the beneficiary of this campaign, and are truly amazed by amount that was raised for CAL and our work in arts education. We’d also like to thank all the individuals who donated to help ensure that more children across Northeast Ohio have an education that includes the arts.”
The final donation total will be announced during a presentation at the South Euclid location on Thursday, December 3rd at 2pm. Stay tuned to find out how much was raised!
