This project examines how images, ideas, and beliefs are “projected” upon us on a daily basis. We are constantly bombarded by advertisements, song lyrics, and social norms that mold our individual actions and thoughts. The particiapants wil lbe led through a discussion of how these outside forces influence their personal lives in both positive and negative ways. Each participant wil then choose a social influence that impacts them personally. They will collect digital imagery representing this influence and then project those images onto a blank wall. They will then pose within the projection for a series of unique portraits/photographs.
