Through a blend of Latin music and movement, students are introduced to the aesthetic principles and cultural elements of Salsa dance. The program is designed to use Salsa as a means to help students discover personal strengths, express individuality, connect with peers and develop positive social skills. Through leading and following roles, students also develop skills in leadership and teamwork. The basic principles of Salsa dance (posture, etiquette, alignment, movement and rhythm) serve as the foundation to developing students’ personal dance language and style.
