Mixing martial arts, music, and dance, students will be introduced to the historical and cultural elements of Capoeira. This program is designed to help students develop and build self-confidence, teamwork, and social skills through a mix of fun and challenging activities. Students will learn about the slave trade and its effects on the development of this art form while learning a vocabulary of fun and exciting movements to perform in a roda (circle) at the end of the workshop or residency.
