Apprentice Positions: Spaces for this opportunity are limited. Only 100 apprentice positions are available, so students who are interested in applying are strongly encouraged to make sure all parts of their application are complete and received on time.

In addition to enrolling students apprentices, the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning hires college juniors and seniors as Site Coordinators, and Master Teaching Artists. Check below for application details.

Student Apprentice Applications

Anyone entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in the Fall of 2017 may apply to be an ArtWorks Summer Apprentice. No prior arts experience is necessary, but applicants should have a strong interest in the arts and a willingness to learn new skills in a multicultural setting. Students must submit an application and be interviewed to be considered for the program.

The Center for Arts-Inspired Learning is not currently accepting applications for the Summer 2018 session. Check back for application details.

Site Coordinator Applications

Any college junior or senior, or recent graduates may apply to be an ArtWorks Summer site coordinator. The site coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of an ArtWorks Summer site. This position requires strong professional communication and event management skills. Applicants must submit a cover letter and resume to be considered for the position.

An interview and professional references are required for finalists.  A background check must be completed and approved prior to employment.

Professional Teaching Artists Applications

Any professional teaching artist may apply to be an ArtWorks Summer master teaching artist (MTA). MTAs will guide a group of approximately 10 high school-aged apprentices in the development of 21st Century workforce skills through projects in a focused arts discipline. Occasionally, MTAs may receive assistance from a college-aged Assistant Teaching Artist. Applicants must complete and submit a Request for Proposal (RFP) to be considered for the position. An interview, written project proposal and professional references will be required for finalists. All Master Teaching Artist application materials must be received at Center for Arts-Inspired Learning, 10917 Magnolia Drive, Cleveland, OH 44106, no later than 4:00PM, Friday, March 30, 2018 . To apply for a Master Teaching Artist position:

  • Review the detailed MTA Request for Application.
  • Submit a current Resume or CV.
  • Submit Personal Work Samples.
  • Submit a Letter of Intent/Cover Letter.
